Jordan overcame the second seed Elkins in the area round, where they were locked in a defensive battle for a game that wasn’t decided until the final whistle with the Warriors winning 36-30. Jordan took an 8-6 lead after the first quarter but Elkins used a strong second quarter to come back and go into the half up 19-13. Jordan turned things around in the third quarter and reclaimed a 26-23 lead before holding on by outscoring Elkins 10-7 in the final quarter.
