Having endured unexpected adversity long before its Region III-6A semifinal Friday against Brazoswood, the Jordan girls soccer team had ample resiliency in store to stage a comeback at Abshier Stadium.

Freshman Julia Cleary and sophomore midfielder Alex Ledbetter engineered that rally, each scoring goals in the game’s final 14 minutes to lift the Lady Warriors to a 3-2 win that earned Jordan a spot against District 19-6A rival Seven Lakes in Saturday’s championship.

Jordan (17-4-5) and Seven Lakes (19-3-5) will meet at 11:30 a.m. to determine a University Interscholastic League state tournament berth.
